The Moore Park Beach annual Festival of Arts is a Spring highlight of the Wide Bay/Burnett Region's cultural scene.
From Friday 17th August to Sunday 19th August 2012, enjoy a fun-filled family weekend, revolving around a wonderful display of visual art and photography in the Community Hall. Giant Kite flying and Sand Sculpture will take place on and around the beach precinct.

Moore Park Beach Arts Inc. is a unique community group driven to providing an outlet for the many and varied aspects of art in the community. Artists, photographers, sculptors with many other arts and craft groups come together to present their craft. The Art and Photography Exhibition is open to all amateur artists.
Further details and an entry form for the Art and Photography Exhibition will be available on the Entry Form page of this website. This entry form also allows you to book places in the various Art & Craft Workshops to be held on the Saturday and Sunday of the Festival. A Stallholder Application Form will also be available on the Entry Form page.

The Community Hall is filled with Award winning art and photography for the weekend which opens with Award presentations on Friday 17th August.

Over the weekend exciting giant kites fill the air above the beach and yet higher up gyrocopters and aeronautical displays skim along the coastline, while on the sand children join with the sand sculptor as he teaches the intricacies of sand moulding.

On the Bicentennial Oval, market and food stalls abound providing a backdrop to the exciting displays of horsemanship, Tae kwon do, international dancing, musical entertainment, cheerleading and tumbling. Jumping castle, face painting and Balloon clowns are just a few of the activities to keep the littlies occupied.

Why not come for the weekend and enjoy our beautiful 17 klms of unspoilt beach as well as our wonderful Festival of Arts.

School participation is a big part of the Festival with many of the local schools participating in the Art programme as well as providing art in the form of music on Friday morning. 2012 will be no exception with school bands from around the district giving a free concert on the grassed area of the Community Hall.

The concert is open and the public are welcome to come and support these young musicians as they enjoy the art of music. Thanks go to teachers and parents for their support of this important part of the weekend.
